Interpreting the maximum
Rollover is the number of keys a keyboard can report at once. This test records observed browser events and reports “at least” the highest simultaneous count—it does not infer a formal specification from how many keys you happened to hold.

Games can combine movement, sprint, crouch, communication, and action keys. Adequate rollover helps those intended inputs arrive together, but more capacity does not by itself improve reaction time or key quality.
Start with comfortable groups and add keys while holding the earlier ones. Watch the current count and peak. The optional challenge gives you a target without forcing a specific or uncomfortable finger arrangement.
A successful eight-key group shows that at least eight inputs reached the browser for that arrangement. Another set of eight keys may use a different matrix path and behave differently.
Reserved shortcuts may leave the page or never reach it. The browser also cannot certify USB HID descriptors, scan rates, firmware behavior, or the keyboard's official rollover rating.
Current keys, unique-key history, peak count, and the best observed combination are stored only in temporary React state. No raw events, key labels, combinations, or typed characters are sent to a server.
